The Big Leagues #3: Growing Pains and Moving Forward

They’ll tell you winning isn’t everything. Sure, they’re right in a way. Winning isn’t everything because you lose eventually. It always comes. For some like me, it’s sooner rather than later. Right on the heels of what I thought to be a breakout win, I fell short in a loss to the now #1 ranked team in our league. A loss is always a tough pill to swallow, but we have to keep it moving.

Week 2’s Game-plan

I’d be lying if I came out and said anything other than “I just did the same thing as week 1.” Really all I’ve been trying to do is keep my roster filled on a day to day basis, and comb through the waivers for pitchers I can add to my staff. Although I lost, I was at least the second highest scoring team. Unfortunately for me, I faced the number 1 scoring team last week. That’s just how the game goes.

Roster Changes

  • Dropped J. Loaisiga — SP,RP — New York Yankees
  • Added Chad Pinder- 2B,3B,OF — Oakland A’s
  • Added Jason Heyward- OF — Chicago Cubs, dropped Justin Smoak- 1B — Toronto Blue Jays

It was a slow week at the office. Not much turn over to speak of besides a couple of adds and drops. Started off with dropping Jonathan Loaisiga quicker than you could say “Yankee”. That was an add that probably…
